Create New Android Project

1. Click File > New > Android Application Project

• Add button in your activity_main.xml file

<Button

        android:id="@+id/button1"

        android:layout_width="match_parent"

        android:layout_height="wrap_content"

        android:layout_marginTop="200dp"

        android:text="@string/button" />

• Add listener  in your MainActivity.java file and show toast on click

private Button button;

 //Add button listener
        button = (Button) findViewById(R.id.button1);
        button.setOnClickListener(new View.OnClickListener() {

@Override
public void onClick(View v) {
//show toast on click
Toast.makeText(getApplicationContext(), getResources().getString(R.string.toast), Toast.LENGTH_SHORT).show();
}
});

2. MainActivity.java (paste this code in your MainActivity.java)
